Didn't really feel like splitting today anyway. I know its an easy fix but still an excuse not to start the splitter.
Ohio dave Hope you didn't jinx meI just pulled the splitter out this afternoon so I can get started splitting in the morning
Looks like that one has some miles on it. Just FYI, when they fray/pull apart like that its usually from the cord being too short...they don't like that sudden stop when you get to the end...when replacing I always wrap as much length as I can on the pulley so that can't happen as easily...5-6' if possible. Hopefully it'll go better next time Dave hate to see ya hafta
I did the same thing this summer after dragging my splitter out to my rounds pile. Unfortunately I didn’t have the same excuse cause mine started on the pull that broke the cord just kept gas in it for a few hours while I split them fixed it when I got home.
Had that happen on a outboard motor.....in the middle of a lake..... when a storm was coming in...... after a few to many rum and cokes......no paddles, oars nuttin. Yup we looked like idiots!
My cord is not broken... and I have a half cord of ash waiting in the driveway. I want to get that done before this weekend's rains. Tonight after work sounds like a good time for it! That amount will complete Cord Number 10! Yep... I'm feeling it!
