    That's why I hate dropping and working around standing dead ash. Rootball roots off and the limbs like to break at forks and fall straight down along the trunk.

    Once it's on the ground I love cutting and splitting it.

    I have a cluster of 5 ash pretty close to each other that gave up the ghost this summer. One has tipped over is leaning on another. It’s gonna be fun. I plan to run a cable as far up as I can and pull them over….
