I've started out with three cords so far, and I know based on other posts I've seen, that is a very small amount! I've been keeping my eyes open when I drive around to see if there are any opportunities for some roadside finds. Nothing so far.

None to be had from your own property? I scrounge most of mine roadside or from social media plus connections. Have had good luck on Craigs list and Facebook marketplace. Enter "free wood" for your search.

We encourage "the three year plan" which in a nutshell is three years worth of wood. So the wood you use has dried for three years. Most burners in our area use 3-4 cord per season. Lots of great members in this state. Ive met several and have gone cutting with them too. If you ever need a hand acquiring wood, im always glad to meet and help another hoarder.
