Yea got so many stories It woukd take a week but im guna give you my 2 favorites pre high school I coached his sandlot football team and he scored all but 1 td for the year but the play that about broke me down was a game I knew we was backed up deep but the first thought was Daniel loves to run the 6 hole and that is the play I sent in and they come out of the huddle and I seen the line of scrimage was about the 1 yard line and I covered my eyes Ohh man that play is going to take to long and be a BUST. It was like it was in slow motion. Both lines come together in a clog and what happened in a minute seemed like took 4ever. He come around the end and took it all the way. He was so close to the sidelines on my side I could have touched him. I about lost it lol Baseball he really worked hard and I had him in the hitting center alot and he was in the 4th grade and tournament and he hit the fence all coaches and every body went wild. We went to the state and got beat. Basketball I never really care a lot about but he took it on his self to get ready and at the time I realy did not care but I looked out one day and seen him shooting and it pouring the snow. Favorite game was the last one of the year and the other team only had enough players to play maybe one on the bench and Daniel was smoking that day but the team was just so so and Daniels team went up like 28 to 6 and the coaches got together and talked and had hime switch teams to make a game and they almost won. Sorry but I could not make any shorter
Reminds me a bit of one of my nephews. He played football and basketball. Quarterback. You've seen the movie "Quigley Down Under"? His arm was like that rifle, if needed.
Thanks his dad ( ME) lol has a hail of a work ethic and n4 his first year of sand lot we worked every day running banks running plays through tires. He was proud of what he was doing and making his dad proud I told him if he sticks with it we would have a cook out and have a cook out and invite all of the family over to watch him do his drills Man he was fired up then By that time he could do 100 push ups and turn and do 100 set ups Wow He was running through double stacked tires ect ect
A parent on the other team was video the game he run 1 all the wasy back and they give me the video. Its like gold he score 5 td s in that game
Ah the blessed age of 15 all wired up for sports and "Oh was that a girl that walked by" all downhill from there! Gary
