we got the official word instead of hear say yesterday. He has a broken pelvis and we know from the accident his leg is pretty messed up. We where originally told he broke his ribs but know they are saying only 2. It’s not good news but it’s better than it could have been….
Found more gashes in the Pup; he has decided he is not afraid of black bear’s. He is more afraid of beta-dine.. Hoping meat head lives through this edit; last night was Scratches not gashes
What?? scratches are still not good. Our Hayden is very bull headed. He is starting to chill out finally and listen better. we have enough smaller predators like coyotes, foxes, and bobcats. Ive been able to keep the yotes away, and bobcats are rare enough, but getting more commonly seen on cameras. We had a fox hanging around peeing on stuff, which is smelly. We found a good natural cure for that.
Caffeine! Three day weekend!Today I will be getting a mix of work done. Probably start off with splitting some firewood rounds up. Then break from that and move some more dirt with the tractor. After the grass is dried out I’ll have to get cutting that. Do that for an hour or so and go back to splitting more rounds to get off of the mower and rotate back and forth between those two for rest of day. You hoarders have a good day.
Angus is 16 months and probably 115 pounds The bear is probably same age; mom is not around. Lady, Shepherd 85#, has killed 3 foxes this year; 1 bite mark base of skull. Garage, barn and yard between 2. Lady you can call back/off; Angus not so much
I could; I don’t want to kill the bear. He not hurting anything. Well besides the pup; We are in yard evenings with pup training
