They're great. The 65cc I've had for twelve years now and nothing's gone wrong or broke, still the original chain with lots of life left in it. The 72cc is tricky to start sometimes when warm but runs just as good. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat if I were looking for a newer saw and it didn't look too beat up. Maybe the Red Max's are just as good but I just don't know. That was a terrible business decision to not keep the Jonsered name.
I agree. That’s what happens when these companies buy other companies. Just posted another thread in the chainsaw sub-forum and it appears Husky, who owned Jonsered and Red Max, fazed them both out. I guess that leaves Stihl, Husky, and Makita (Dolmar) and Echo, and Chinese knock-offs. I have no idea if McCulloch, Poulan, Homelite, are still making saws or not, let alone pro saws. Love that wood shed.
one of the farms i shoot on the farmer wants me .to clear the over grown pond out there is a lot of wood to come out of there.and he is going to pay me,after that there is another pond on the farm to clear, so lots of wood for me to have,
All done and the mess cleaned up. Three weeks less a day since I started. There's two full rows behind the half row in front. I'm guessing the rows are about twelve feet long. It's nice to have the old barn for storing the excess that won't fit in the woodshed.
I didn't bother to try and calculate the cordage but with the shed full and those two and a half rows in the barn, I'm happy with the result.
