This tree in the north side of the house, would be so pretty in autumn if the majority of it changed at the same time. But it takes a bit more than a month for all the turning. The old leaves don't wait for the green leaves to change before they fall of course. Last weekend I was already mowing a bunch of leaves from underneath the tree so the change process started about 10 days ago.

It would be quite stunning if it all was autumn colours.

Are we allowed to post links to Instagram? My wife is in a gardening contest, and a component involves voting for her flower arrangement grown in a grow bag. I figured I’d ask first. It’s been awhile since I’ve posted anywhere on here

If anyone is so inclined. Our farm handle is @royalfarefarm. The contest is an organic gardening competition put on by Johnny Appleseed Organics.

This is the last category with Instagram Voting.
And above Is my wife. Voting closes Sunday at midnight eastern. We have a big gap to close, so I’ll be at the browns stadium tomorrow night and Ohio State Saturday doing what I can for her.

The contest ends end of September. The winner gets a 50,000$ prize.

    Any help is much appreciated!
    Thanks
    Kris

Feel free to start a thread in “Everything Else” or hobbies/diy areas if you wish- you would probably get more responses with a dedicated thread.

Then there is the variegated weigala. I'm surprised I noticed as I was walking by as only 1 tiny part of it has started turning

And for those of us that are hard of seeing, a close up

She didn't fool around with a gradual turning. It looks like it went all at the same time.

Love the maples that turn red. I went toward Keene Friday and all the swamp maples were putting their show.

Also had to stop and take pics of some beautiful trees just outside that city. Too bad I couldn't get safely stopped before passing the trees (and prior to the curve). From the other side, the yellow leaves were glowing with the sun from behind. Plus, approaching the curve, there was a whole grove of trees that had turned a brilliant yellow, whereas past the curve (and hill), where I was able to pull over, I could only see a few of golden trees (and the sun is now behind where I was taking the picture, so the colors are not as brilliant).

The Burgundy Belle maple was a sight to behold as I pulled into the driveway yesterday afternoon. The sun was just right to not ony show off its colors, but to make the junk maples behind seem pretty (they go from green, to yellow to brown in about 2 hours so aren't normally "pretty).

Great picture. The colours really need the sunshine to really pop. the yellow behind the red makes the red really stand out.
