Mastermind ported Stihl MS261 for $700 PHO, shipped CONUS. Runs/oils right and is an excellent example of the early (~2014) MS261 that Randy ported for me a while back. I'm only putting it up for sale because I need some $ to fund the MMWS 201TC that I recently bought. I have 16", 18" and 20" bars/chains I would include for a very good price is you want/need them. They aren't self tapping screws. I use 4mm rivet nuts, and 4mm button head fasteners.

After doing several thousands of these I am sure Randy knows what he is doing. Mine is the same way & I have had no issues, Randy builds great saws.

Just going by the design of the sticker, I'd say it's been several years since I did this saw. If that deflector was going anywhere, I'd say it would have happened already.

In the past, there have been a few come off. I've since found a way to tighten them even more, and I also use loctite on them.

Thanks for your input and support Mastermind . This saw is DOM May 2014, so I probably bought it 2014 and sent it to you for 2015/2016.

Hell of a deal on it Mike. These 261s are my favorite 50cc saws.

Don't worry. It will never go to into your shop in the first place, ever.
P.S. It's really tacky to divert a members' for sale thread into a crap on the builder thread. Nobody asked you to comment on the muffler. Feel free to comment about my saw in my DM's and/or Randy's. Don't bogart my for sale thread with your personal opinions/grievances.

I’m not sure you can find a builder that stands behind his work more than Randy. He set the bar pretty high.

I will say I have run Mastermind saws many times over the years and all have been consistent and impressive. Randy does top-notch work and is a top notch man that stands behind his products, and I'm glad to know him.

Quite honestly he's a legend in the saw modification world, many thousands of people who've dealt with him would agree.

I own a 1st Gen 261CM with a sticker. That thing is by far my favorite saw to run.

I'm not sure I deserve this amount of praise. I make mistakes, lose track of things, and just decide to go ride a tractor when I probably should be in the shop.

The saws I build are not any better than a great many other people who build saws either.

I have been around for a long time in this gig though....and I've tried really hard to maintain my reputation. That absolutely doesn't mean I've not messed up though.

I do appreciate the kind words though.

    Thank you.

This very post, IMHO, is one of the things I respect the most about you and what also puts you among the top builders, Randy. Humbleness, honesty, and humility are attributes I look for when I deal with people. You've got them all.
