Second pic. First pic is definitely mulberry. FBM offering. Has the bark and color. Doesnt match black locust or mulberry that ive seen on here or in person. Didnt state they came from the same tree. If you cant view this see #5 below

RARE to see mulberry of any size let alone that big around here so im not familiar with its bark texture at that size.

Thanks, that looks just like the huge mulberry at the bottom of my street. Next time you’re up here I’ll show it to you.

Is that those two woods from the same trees? Cause I’m seeing Mulberry in the smaller stuff… but I’m seeing Hedge in the bigger stuff with the sign… sometimes mature mulberry does look similar…. JimBear

    You nailed it Scotty.
2 year black locust on the right, and today’s large mulberry on the left.

Eric Wanderweg got all the wood from the listing and determined it to be mulberry. I SOOOO wanted it to be hedge. Mine and Eric's holy grail score here.

    Maybe someday, maybe!

I almost thought it was hedge myself, but not heavy enough. Split too easily as well. The woman had a couple smaller mulberry trees growing along her driveway too. This big old one that came down must’ve been the mother tree.
