Found this about 10 miles from our cabin in the U.P. Figured it should be handy for firewood and other chores. Flat free tires too
Umnn, hate to break it to you but that’s not a wheelbarrow. You got ripped off lol I do like the logic tho. Why splurge on a wheelbarrow when a tracked loader will more than do? Nice score.
Hope it goes strong for many years amateur cutter ... with a couple "fingers" added on the top of the bucket, and that would make an unstoppable building clean up machine (no nails in the tires)... cool rig...
You lucky bastard lol That's a nice find there! I would love to have that, unfortunately People around here would be asking a stupid price for that around here
Well, that thing outta keep you wrenching for years to come, ain't nothing like an old crawler for maintenance! When I was a teenager we had an old JD440 track loader, we got really good at putting the tracks back on that thing.....worst thing was when they'd fall off in the creek, doing a track re install under muddy water is just plain bad for a guy's vocabulary....... Hopefully your experience is much better than ours! I love the old machines, it just takes some patience to work with them.
Yep lol. It'll need a little tinkering, steering clutches need adjusting and carb rebuilt. No smoke and the undercarriage is decent, so it should do what we need. I'm pretty good with vintage equipment, so as long as I don't have to pull the final drives back there in the woods it should be good.
If you run into something you have questions on, let me know, I'll put you in touch with the shop a couple doors down from me...good ole boys that know old Deere's like the back of their hands. They also operate a very large custom farming operation "in their spare time" too...so its not just the old stuff they are familiar with.
I’ll bet that crawler has some stories amateur cutter . We’ve always loved the u.p. Love to go and hate to leave! Immediately feel different after we cross the bridge…..either way. Glad you got away for a little R&R
Yup, me too. Blood pressure begins to spike on the way south and then the decompressing begins on the way north!
