A friend I met this year was mentally full of vim and vigor. But after triple bypass surgery and quite a number of other complications. He just ain't got IT anymore.
He had bought a brand new 271 just before his medical maladys. He could barely carry it . And he and his wife combined could not start it.
He is vertically challenged. And more bull headed than maybe anyone I know. Well , maybe 2nd after my wife.
He got a little 135 Husky late this past summer . He can start it !! If the bull head would have READ THE BOOK !! He could have started it Much Sooner:mad:
So far he and his wife have cut a couple cord of wood with it. Totally fried the bar it came with. If I threw the bar in my woodstove on a 40 below day it wouldn't look or work much worse.
Last time I saw it I told him to buy a new bar.
Why people want to live off grid in Alaska when the are totally lacking in skills is beyond me.
    BUT, he's learnin. :D

I would let him use my ms193. But I seriously doubt he can start it. And I don't really want that saw destroyed. I like it.

Last year Brainerd had a Bunch of colder temps than we did here. I've got a friend there that thot it was neat that he had colder temps than I did.
I didn't tell him that was a competition I would gladly let him win !

Thank you. A dealer in Fairbanks doesn't stock them . If I have to order a saw. You might as well get the business.

Do not worry the same people who leave the saw sit for years and cannot figure out why it won't start will figure out how to ruin a battery saw also   I have full confidence in that !! and as to starting aids I do not horse over the old Homelites of mine anymore Super 1050,1130G,3100G, I just squirt some fuel in carb so they start on one pull for me . I had a customer bring in a saw he said would not start he tried a whole can of "starting Aid" he said it would start on the Starting Aid then quit, finally he said it won't even start, he put new fuel on top of the glue that was left in the tank from when he last used it 4 years ago his comment was "I put stabilizer in it"  needless to say the ether did its job You cannot fix stupid:headbang: JB

Keep up the good work! And Good luck for you and your business!! Prices are horable in Sweden too. Gasoline 7,50 $ one gallon. Diesel is 8$ for one gallon. But It Will become worse. Electric is around 0,50 dollars kWh.

Yeah it always seems to get worse they seem to run the prices way up then lower them back down so people think they are better but they are always twice what they were before :headbang: JB
