Looks like a quality generator that will last a long time. We have their 9000va unit. We've used it once, but it will keep the entire neighborhood. Best friend picked it up used for almost free and gave it to us so can't complain.

Some good drainage work accomplished with the tractor the last few days. Installed three new 8” culverts and cleaned out a few more ditches. Used the spoils from that to cover some areas of clay. The dry weather has been great for this work. But we need rain. Looks like we may get some over the next three days. Hope so!

Breakfast time and then get a few small projects done around the house and barn with the help of my big brother who is home from North Carolina for a long weekend.

All you hoarders have a good Sunday!

We did get some rain off and on today. More on the way now. I think. I just saw lightning. o_O Mother?

My wife and I went for a quick walk around the pastures and camp earlier. Dirt roads still dry as popcorn fart a few hours after the rain. The ground sucked that little bit of rain up and made it disappear quick.

My big brother and I accomplished some needed repairs on the barn and a couple gates in the yard around the house. Had lunch with Mom and then afternoon work, then two cold ones at beer:30 before dinner. A good day!:)

Had a bad day yesterday and again today.

Next door neighbor decided to "sight in" a 7mm Mag.......on his adjoining property......a distance of less than 300' from my door and probably 80' from his neighbor's door.

He was shooting form his garage to a tree that is on the shoreline of the lake! I yelled and said what are you thinking? That bullet will travel all the way to the other side of the lake or ricochet off to a direction unintended!

It wasn't a happy social call at all. Way too much risk involved for safety concerns. His "guest" got a bit mouthy and said something like "you're coming onto his property and telling him what he can do with his gun?" You heard what I said, right?

Then as I was leaving his guest said "are you going to come back if it happens again?"

I told him no, you'll be talking with someone else next time!

Then, today, I put a ladder into a tree to cut a limb that is now interfering with the hoisted cables of the dock. Well, it is always kind of shakey on a ladder in recent years.....the last year I worked, I fell twice from a ladder in about a months time.

As I was in the tree on the ladder, the saw must have decided it had enough and just sorta dropped to the ground. Broke the throttle assembly and handle so it looks like a trip to the saw shop will be in short order. Looking back on it, it's better the saw fell than me!  I can buy replacement parts for that husky' not so much for me though.

Glad you're okay Dave. Hope the neighbor doesn't become a problem. Crazy how some people just don't think.

    :bug:

We had a neighbor sighting in a gun in the little canyon we both lived in, omg one ricocheted off out propane tank. Went over there and told him, in his Australian accent he said "no chit?", and never did it again. I'm sorry Dave that is spooky!

Be careful on those ladders. Bones don’t get any stronger as we get older. I avoid ladders like the plague now. Had my share of ladders moving and one spun on me when I was cutting a limb. The hardest thing to remember is to throw the saw. Seems unnatural. I leave the limb work to the younger fellas.
