Nice when you can avoid stacking and load directly like that. Rumor has is you ans Miz Carol use a FHC feeler gauge when stacking firewood...just a rumor though.

A customer picked up a full cord about a month ago. We delivered 2 local loads this morning to another customer before lunchtime. We have another load scheduled for today and 1 Thursday evening.
Load delivered yesterday morning We stacked it in her barn. She is a widow a few years older than me. Her husband was kin to me. He had ALS. She usually helps stack, but she brike her ankle about a month ago. We have her on the 2-3 year plan... Both stacks on the right and the rear stack on the left are dry.
We added a load for Thursday morning, we were going to do it next week. Had a big 9' log, close to 30" butt dia that was really too heavy for the tractor. Cut 6 16" rounds where it was, split and stacked on the truck Added another couple logs and finished the load Her grandson will stack it Got the other load of 18" splits delivered late yesterday evening
Next time I'm splitting a mountain of wood, I'm going to request Miz Carol stack it for me. Pretty awesome job she does. Now... when is your next vaca up north? Seriously, that is the definition of firewood porn. Most everyone here is green with envy when you post those pics.
Thanks, my friend. She stacked the load on the truck and helped stack some in the barn. Team effort there...lol... As far as vacation, depends on how far north...Pigeon Forge in Sept, hope to come to PA in June if Scotty Overkill has his GTG again...
The big campground called, they had a very large group coming in a few weeks, decided they wanted a big load of firepit wood. We loaded the wood we had piled up for firepits and split enough to finish the load. We delivered it Monday That night, we started on a trailer load of premium oak for a regular customer. This Southern red oak is nice... Got 2 rows done Monday night
Tuesday morning we had this odd shaped butt round to do. Didn't think it would roll to well, so set it on the splitter with the 'Bota We had several 6-7.5' logs, so processed those. Made 14 nice rounds on the ramps... Got 12 split and stacked by lunch That added 2 more rows Put a new Archer chain on the MS461 28" bar...
We got the 4 rounds that were left & Wednesday after church work was done. That made almost another row... Thursday morning the dynamic duo got things done. Bucked 3 smaller logs with the MS180 and used it to mark the big logs. The MS461 was still hungry. Some of the uglies that go on the campwood pile We were able to clean up the hollow rounds and use that on the trailer too Got the trailer load finished, ready for delivery...
We started on the 2nd trailer load for our Macon customer. We bucked several smaller logs and a couple big oaks Monday evening. Got almost 1 1/2 rows done before the rain moved in. We got the rest of the big rounds split and stacked Tuesday evening, making almost 3 rows complete. Then we bucked and staged more goldilocks size logs and 1 nice fatty. Ready for the splitter tonight.
Nice! Looks like more figured wood in there. It's almost cool enough for me to start bringing more oak home and helping dad process wood.
Our neighbor, Mike, came over again and wanted to help last night. With him keeping me a steady supply of rounds, we got the pile of rounds on the ramp done in a little over 1 hr We then bucked 3 more logs and staged those on the ramp It took all but the last big round to finish the trailer... We got done about 11:45PM. Glad we live in the country...... But 5AM came way to early this morning..... Hope to get it delivered this evening after work.
