    This is for the neighbors. I have been compensated with fresh veggies all summer from one, eggs from another. The third just buys me bourbon. I like this system.

    My firewood is too hard to come by so I am afraid I will have to keep the firewood and buy my own bourbon.

    I understand. You're in a different region. Here we have thousands of dead ash trees and I could cut full time as opposed to just supporting my hoarding addiction. There is so much of it and I am happy to give it away before it rots. The bartered goods are a bonus. Some folks go to the gym, I cut, haul and split firewood - that's my gym. :)
