Yeah I’m normally solo as well but it’s nice to have some company out there.

Awesome to see your part of the world, my friend! I must visit Australia someday. I’ve wanted to go there since I was a small boy. Such a beautiful country.

I know I’ve said it before, but that’s a great firewood trailer.

What are your overnight temperatures where you live? We routinely drop into the mid and high twenties (f) in the dead of summer at night here.

Thx mate I like my trailer as well! We get down between 30-40 most nights but on the frosty evenings down around 25. Cold enough for me lol

That looks like really HARD wood, is there a BTU output chart for Aussie trees like we have here in North America?

Going by that chart it blows oak away in density at around 750 when yellowbox is 1090 not that I understand those ratings too much. A bit of a search I found Eucalypt which is the general overview of our gum trees at 34.5 btu which yellowbox is one of the better ones.

got some time this afternoon to get that load all split up. I will stack it outside for summer then put in the shed for the following winter and summer and burn it in 2024.

Impressive mound of splits there. Do you mates go by cordage or is there another unit of measure there?

Yeah over here with metric we go by the cubic metre but I understand your chord and face chord language ok. In my younger days I worked in a sawmill here and cut a lot of Oregon flitches which we still used feet and inches so I’m all over both measurements.
