This is such a badass thread. Wood, check. Masonry, check. Blacksmithing, check. Pizza, check.

    Keep up the great work!

Looks awesome! What are you using for dough? I’ve been on a 00 flour kick lately with our Ooni.

Not intending to derail, but which Ooni do you have? Sorry if I missed you posting it before Skier76.

We beat the rain today and got the countertops poured, the forms will come off tomorrow and in a week or so we will start grinding and polishing the surface down to a smooth finish. We went with a tan-colored dye (looks brown at this stage but will dry to a tan/light brown) with a small pebble aggregate and bigger chips of stone from the rock we are using for the fireplace embedded into the top. It will be grounded snd polished down to 3000 grit. Let's see how this all turns out in the end!!

Will that still require sealing, Scotty?

Yes, we will use a food grade sealant. I'm hoping to have a smooth enough surface to be able to work the dough directly on the counter when done. If it goes to plan!!

Me too, buddy, I'm nervous though, never done this before. I've got alot of grinding to do on that top before we can even think about polishing it. That'll be the last step, hopefully sometime near the first of October.
