We have jusaround I saw in Canada across the river they had Tornado warnings but they never extended those warnings here. We never received the rain north of here did. I think our county had around 3200 without power from the storm.
We had some wind but not too strong. We did get a lot of rain. A guy I work with said his rain gauge showed over 3”.
I can believe that, I saw the warnings go up that certain areas had received 1 to 1.5 of rain with another 1 to 2 inches coming in after the first round of rain.
Literally had a down pour for a quarter second. On/Off I could count the hits on the deck. Air is nice now.
We kept the windows open all days today. Only got in the mid to upper 70's with a low de2w point. Should stay somewhat cool this week before heating up again next weekend.
Canadian border VT , it isn't a big chance of severe weather tomorrow but here are the times NOAA says it will affect certain areas. We need the rain in our area.
I’m guessing the lightening hit about 200-250 yards away. The thunder was very loud. A little too close for comfort. Beautiful here now.
Finally got a decent rain last night. In the past 4-5 weeks my house hasn't received more than 1/4" of rain per week (last week I think it was 1/8". Last night got a bit over an inch of rain. Got it all in about 20 minutes so not sure how much actually soaked in and how much of that ran off. Had some pretty good thunder going with it but the winds weren't too bad (had worse during the non-rain event earlier in the week). However, the rain on the roof was damm loud while it was coming down.
