Yup,it sure did make an awful noise. The driver one of the other “mechanics” drove around for two days with it befor I suggested we pop the hood! He calls himself “the doctor” because he fixes sick trucks
I made a mistake Thursday. We had been moving brush to the burn pile. Saw a small pile that was missed. Headed over to grab it, dropped the grapple as I got close, it was tilted down a bit too much, instead or sliding, it hung on a big root. Shoved the grapple back, heard a loud pop and fluid started spraying. Blew the hard line on the boom... Had to go back to the house, got tools. New one was about $30-40, but shipping was $100. Our local NAPA store makes hoses, so we went there, hoping they could put something together to get us going again. They did even better, cut out the split and brazed a coupling in place. We were able to get the trailer loaded by 8:50 PM that night.
Thanks. Me too. It's a small town, know most of the businesses. They have made several hoses for us before. The owner is 1 of our firewood customers...
Time to change front axle bearings on the Kubota again...... I don't think I overwork it...... I saw a little oil on the rim about a week ago, and then was driving it on the road, noticed the left front seemed to have a bit more wobble than usual. Checked it when we got home from mowing, yep, got some play in it. Got the seal and 2 bearings yesterday. Hope that's all that's bad, same side we rebuilt 2 years ago with new axle and case... I'll try to take some
I told Miz Carol if it couldn't do what I wanted, sell it and get me a bigger one. She told me a friend of ours had a JD on FBMP for 50K...... Then she said I would just put more on the trailer...
I seriously believe that you have a need for MORE counterweight. A lot more like as much as you are picking up more.
We have that same machine minus the full cab at work. Edit: oops ours is a 5100E Too bad no loader on that one...
Whatever the 3 point is ok with lifting. Unless it's way out back you have a fat kid and skinny kid on a teeter totter.
