Not what I wanted to do today, but it makes for good photo op.
Not the best choice for long term parking.

    Ouch.

Quite the lean on that red oak, with all canopy branch weight on one side. Is it coming down?

The lean is not that bad, but some limbs need to be lightened.

Yep, that leaves a mark. I dulled a chain on a car trunk once doing similar. It was a bit flatter than that one.

Sheesh, that hurts, hope insurance covers it. But, ugh... deductible.

I was wondering if anyone had notified the owner, since the plate and parking permit were concealed. You would think insurance would want pics of the limb on the car too.
Several years ago I cleaned a big White Pine off a truck. The truck was a pancaked total loss. I was dropping small rounds into the bed of the truck and the guy accused me of further damaging his truck.

I dont recall ever cleaning a limb/tree off a vehicle.

Pic from March 31. Huge cottonwood blowover on the red car. I happened upon it right after it occurred. Being the opportunist for a chain saw job i knocked on the door and spoke with the woman saying i could take care of it the next day and told her she should call her insurance company. I drive by there on a regular basis and the tree has never been removed from the car. Town did a little clean up to fix the wires and clear the side walk and that was it. Amazingly the tree put out leaves. Ill get a pic if i remember next time. IMG_0783.JPG

One thing I NEVER do is park my rides under a tree ever. Always parked in the open where the birds can loaf on them....o_O
