I have been on the fence about adding another saw to my small collection. I had a ms 260 with a 20" bar followed by a 361 with a 20" bar. My big saw was a 461 that I usually run a 25" bar on occasionally a 32". I have been tossing the options of porting my 461 vs buying a carburated 661. My local shop said there were a couple of the standard 661's left at there distributor. I decided since they wouldn't be produced anymore to take the plunge and ordered it with a 32" light bar. I have used it this last week on some red oak and it hasn't disappointed. I will try to get some pictures.
Now the next step is to get them all ported I’ve only got two ported saws. Can’t seem to figure out what to delete on my little dewalt 20v for more power.
Awesome. Ive though of getting a 661 or earlier version to my hoard, but the 500 with a 36" bar gets it done. I seldom cut bigger wood. If a great deal on a used 661 came my way i may pull the trigger. Wanna see pics Wingshooter
