Got to be honest, the way that story was set up from the beginning seemed slanted. I didn’t make it a paragraph in.
I did not read the entire article, as I do not 'support' that website/source, but I did read several paragraphs and I didn't see anything bogus, which is unusual for them, lol. Europe is in a world of hurt come winter. It just so happens that one hour ago, I established a Buy order for when the market opens next Tuesday to buy a certain European natural gas company I like. Nat gas here in the USA (current futures) is $6.50 and at this company's delivery point in Europe, it's $18. Wow. They could rake it in and it could easily go higher, even much higher. Putin has curtailed Russian nat gas flows between 15% t0 100%, depending on the country, and this winter, he's the type to suddenly curtail 100% across the board to inflict the most pain possible. I do not doubt that firewood is at a huge premium in Germany! Europe (and much of the world) has set itself up for potential disaster. Even here in the USA things could get more dire what with the gasoline price and this winter, price of nat gas. These markets are global. It used to be that nat gas was NOT a global market (crude oil was) but now with LNG, it's global.
Breitbart certainly isn't a source that I'd find credible at all.. but I do believe the problem exists. Relying on "unfriendly" countries for a fuel supply is never a good idea in my book, but I'm no gov't leader.. so there's that.
BB is not, in my opinion, reliable source for accurate news. However, I do know there's a shortage of pellets and firewood for sale in Europe as the war in Ukraine drags on. I'm still in contact with friends and co-workers from when I lived in Belgium and they tell me if you cut your own wood it's mot much different. But if you use pellets or have to purchase wood, prices have quadrupled and supply is short. Plus, some big logging companies are selling tops from their operations that they use to give give away. Mazut (heating oil) and Propane prices are way up, in some areas, over 400%.

Reuters is hawking pretty much the same news - for those who prefer their lies served with two left feet: Germans warm up to coal, wood amid high gas prices
The article could be totally legit for all i know. The lead in was a bit much though. I’ll go back and check it out
I was going to comment with something similar, but couldn’t get the wording quite right. I believe you nailed it though. That’s the most honest assessment of the media landscape that I’ve heard in a while
Not a CNN guy either. . In today’s world, there too much BS in general. So when an article praises a particular politician in the first or second paragraph, it makes me wonder how worth it it is to keep reading.
I went looking for an equivalent in Mother Jones and the Huffington Post but all I found were psyop pieces shilling for the establishment. Strange but true fact: Andrew Breitbart was one of the original founders of HuffPost. I guess it’s not so far fetched to believe considering even Tim Pool started at Vice.
Too bad they don't print their news on paper...would make good (well, at least adequate) emergency TP
In all honesty I just linked the article because I thought some might find it interesting. I apologize if it came off any different.
