Guys, I’m going to look at a bunch of stuff tomorrow to possibly by in a lot deal.
There’s a MS461 in great to near new shape with about a 20-22 in bar.
    Homeowner saw new bought new.
Can you guys ballpark a wholesale to retail prices you would think?

    Thanks,
    Lenny

My brother sold his 461 (he bought a 500i) to his logger friend for $800 a couple of months ago. Saw was beautiful, and obviously the logger knows saws and it passed his inspection.

$750-1000 if near new. There may be NOS 461's still out there as they were discontinued by Stihl. Local OPE dealer had a couple new 461's several months back. Thought of buying one.

I have a 461 and love it I would definitely pick up a clean used one for 750$ depending on extra chains/ bars maybe more.

Well, the whole deal didn’t work out. He was pretty fixed on getting 85% of the purchase price including all the taxes and shipping charges on everything there.
I couldn’t get him to budge off 950 for the saw.

15% off used even if not used much didn’t seem like much of a deal to me.

    So I passed.

Good pass Lennyzx11 ! I paid $700 a couple years ago for a really good condition 461. I can’t imagine spending over $800 unless it’s the “home owner, I cut down 2 trees with it” mint condition, still under warranty.

looks like a 461 would fit nice in your lineup

Sometimes I feel like things should be priced the same used as they were a few years ago but apparently the used saws are doing the same thing as the new ones and everything else, going up in price.
