    I wish there was a 12 inch 9 pin combo just for giggles. That would be something to try.

    I have a 9 pin and usually run it with a 16" or 20". I'm about done with 16" stuff since I have to pull the spikes off the saws to be able to get through a 12x12". I've been meaning to get a 10 pin for the 088.

    I run them normally but don't do any long cuts with it on the first couple tanks. After that use them like you will the rest of the time.

    White oak was what I cut the first 2 tanks on. Seemed like it feel through it about 2 inches doey in the middle though

    3rd tank I was cutting a tellow birtch that the 20' bar just barely made it through hard as a rock been cut down about three months

    As long as you were not cutting something that you need the whole bar to get through from both sides and your not using a dull chain causing excess strain on the saw I would not worry too much.

    If you have the CAD as bad as Dexter your gonna sell that saw next week anyway ;)
