56 here. Looks like my fires can finally die out until September. Suppose to be 70 degrees tomorrow. I'll wait until Mid July before replacing gaskets and whatnot. Been a ten month burn season. Glad it is over.

Still 85 right now. Too hot-the deer flies are now out.

It looks like you may get hit again. Here, the farmers are beginning to be concerned as it has really dried up and many crops are showing stress.

After having a fire Thursday evening, I cleaned out the stove and put stuff away yesterday. Hopefully until September or so.

    Nothing happened. Just got hotter.

Today, there is a nice breeze with overcast skies. 73 at the moment and I've got to clean up the wood scrap/sawdust from the log pile cutting and wood splitter area.

Currently 76 w/ 84% relative humidity. Just went out to move a rubber tarp on my stacks and in 1/2 hour I’m sweating my arse off. :( Dew point is 71.

The last 2 days were 88 degrees and sunny but the good past was the dewpoint was in low 50's and humidity in low 30's. I didn't even have to run the air conditioner.

I think our stove will be out for the summer too.
Our most recent fire was June 20 & 21 this year. 48° nights and cloudy drizzly 50+° days.
Next fire; September, evenings to take the chill off.
    Chimney cleaned.
I'll pull the top off the stove and poke around inside for a look-see, brush the after-burners off, vacuum everything out.

Currently 73 @ 9a w/ 84% humidity. Going to be another scorcher. After Monday the overnight temps are slated to drop so I took a few vaca days to mill my buddies walnut tree. Hope to get started in the AM and quit when it gets too hot.

Thanks Dennis. It is a big change for us going from the north to the south so along with all the usual situations in moving we have to get used to a relatively foreign area also. As I said, nice place but crossing that Mason- Dixon line really does change the US quite a bit.

Thick and sticky 69F here this morning, but drier air now. Pretty comfortable 69 at the moment. We have only had a few unbearable days here so far. Hopefully only a couple more months of potential suffering before cooler weather. I really wanna find a way to spend summer's at our cabin. Highest temp predicted there is 73 for the next 10 days. I may try and move into Cash Larue 's basement when he ain't lookin.

We had a high of 50 degrees at my house today. It was 29 degrees when I got up this morning. We’ve had a much needed cold mountain rain/snow mix for over 24 hours.

Currently burning some punky silver maple in the Oslo. Heartlands in the Harman. 72 degrees in the house right now.

    One more thing… Go Avs!!!

Congratulations. I was lucky enough that I coached a kid when he was 8,9 & 10, he played for the Lightning when they won it in 2020 and played this year for the lightning.

He finally brought the Stanley Cup home last summer, I'm not the young guy! IMG_2013.JPG

That's great you had an impact on his young life. Nice to put a face to the screen name too.
