There's a 361 on CL for $400 like new, good compression. Or a 362 $525 like new. Both with 20" bars.
    Any thoughts?
They seem like good deals to me. Wanted to wait but......CAD is setting in and I'm getting the shakes to grab one.

the 362 in m-tronic, benefits of no tuning. 500 range for a "like new" used one is a good deal. You probably won't find anyone steering you away from one here...unless they are the 562xp junkies:p

    Is the 362 a C model?

If the 362 is regular carb I'd lean to the 361.

Not sure yet, the description wasn't real detailed. I just basically passed on KilReds new 562Xp for about same price. Regretting that a little. This 362 is slightly used. Waiting for pics and model specifics. The 361 is like new cuz he rebuilt it "like new". Just found that out. Could be a $400 gamble...

For $500? That 562 was the deal to grab.

If so? The 361 ain't bad. But I have had two 361's and sold them both. Would rather have an 036/360 or 362C-M.

Well new is 'new' everything else is 'used'. Just saying. Just like yes is 'yes' and everything else is 'no'.

Yours was a great deal. Can't beat new. I passed on the two stihls for now anyway. Harvesting in another month, so I'll be looking. Or I might want to get some work done on my 372.

So sad how much new saws cost now. Just few years ago new MS361 was $589 and I thought that was crazy priced. The 357xp was $499.

I sold my used but ran freaking great 361 for $325 and shipping. I would go 361 IMO. I'm not a 362 fan.

Another vote for the 361 unless the 362 is the newer m-tronic model. (Will say 362C on the starter cover)

I would pass on both and look for a non rebuilt 361 or 362C.

Heck I would go 036 036 pro 034 super before the 362 myself. Just seen one on AS for $200 034 super.

    I'd go with an 029 super before a ms362.

    Or a solo 665...

It'd be interesting to see a stock 0h29s with the four hole muffler vs a stock ms362.

    I would take a stock open port 60cc poulan 3500 365 small carb or bigger carb 3750 380 over a $700+ 362. :D

Interesting but still not enough saw IMO. Put a Farm Boss bar on the 029S and see which one sells better. Now THAT would be interesting.
