The chimney is cleaned, no fires for about 3 weeks now. Most of the wooding I wanted to do, is done. Like buZZsaw, I'm less inclined to move wood in the dead of summer. There's one job I'll wrap up for the summer, tomorrow, and one I can pick away at on nicer days. I rather enjoy not being behind the cordwood 8-ball. And Im looking forward to burning season, but no rush! Sca
90 today Calling for a high of 73 tomorrow and mids 70s until wed. Cut some 4' splits to length and parked them into the shed. Only worked 2 cart loads up before I said forget. Been a few months since I ran a saw. Felt great to get back at it.
Burn your firewood, I'm sure you have enough. Some old badger from Michigan once said, I won't be cold in my own house. Backwoods Savage
It was 62 and cloudy yesterday, headed to 50 all night. Had a fire last evening: osk shorts and misc kindling chunks. It was nice for sitting around. We're all scattering for church, otherwise we might have another fire now, its 49, and will be cool till after noon. Its nice to have a small fire, brun off odd bits and pieces. Absolutely not running the furnace. Sca
