I feel great. Wouldn’t know I had it if I didn’t have to get tested weekly

Been a few weeks since my last update. I currently have a good crew of motivated high school seniors who have been getting a lot split. First two pics are of the growing oak pile by the tw6 and then the growing mixed pile which is probably 80% ash. After that is all of the shorties in the ibc totes. And then pictures of the logs I have left. I’m guessing around 60 cords of logs. My estimate for total wood processed so far is around 180 cords.

Haha. I have only had one drop off in the last two months and I hope it stays that way for another month. Need to process all of this old inventory

I hear ya on the old inventory. Got a cord plus of hickory, couple cord of oak and maybe five of BL to SS yet. Im so envious that you dont stack. I drive by a couple local farms with open grassy fields and think of windrows of splits just like yours.

Outside of 2-3 days, we have had a lot of comfortable weather so far.

Lets hope most of the Summer is like that! No arguments here if so. Last Summer was miserable with humidity. Why have the tree guys not been dropping wood for you?

I don't know why but I'm not complaining. It's given me the chance to cut up logs that have been on the property for 18+ months. I hope I get another 4 weeks or so with no new drops. After that, they can steady dump again.

Took a half day off today so I got a solid 4.5-5 hours of work time in today. Both splitters had no rounds left to split which never happens. I figure I got about 4-5 cords cut today. Going to get another 4 hours of trigger time tomorrow morning before my sons baseball tournament starts.

Tree work around here is slowing down, I think folks are only spending if they have to. I'm guessing firewood is gonna be higher demand this fall than years past.

Glad you are feeling good and got some good help. Those rows look great.
We had the covid about 1 week after you did. Affected us a little worse though. We are much better, now.

Round two for me was a sore throat and a headache for maybe 36 hours. Glad to hear you’re on the mend

Haha. I know! I honestly think if it doesn’t happen, it will be close. I have been doing deliveries as they come, not waiting till fall this year to help alleviate some of the pressure. It also looks like my son isn’t going to play football this fall so that frees up time as well.

One of these years I will hit my ceiling...maybe it was last year or maybe it wasn't. It's hard to turn down the money though especially as I am working on my 9 year plan towards being retired from my real job at 55.
