    This 7900 experiment is interesting...
    Cause Mike's trying to get gains using some not so standard methods.
    And not so Dolmar parts..
    Maybe it'll be ready to howl at the Kentucky GTG in September!!

    Can you elaborate a little more on what has been done to this Dolmaqvarna?

    Is it just a Husq carb?

    Got a Walbro carb though...
    Piston's from something else..
    Mike may give a run down when he's all done mixin' and matchin'...

    I may put together a whole thread about the saw. So far no machine work has been done to it.

    Stihl 038 Magnum or 046 or 064, more likely the 046 or 064. Perhaps an 051 but I think too tall. On the other hand he said not a 272 so it could also be a 281/282 slug.

    Here's a video of the 665 in some cherry. I went and got me 2 more logs to mess with. I may square up the maple I have and mill a few more boards from the cherry.

    I know I had a 372 with a 038 mag piston and another 372 with 064. So those are my WAG's.
