Around here folks are getting tired of all the rain. Yet I fear in another month it may go the opposite direction.

Yes. It was getting very Dry here ! I was beginning to be a little concerned.
I don't have a water tanker and pump and haven't got the time in on making our place fire safe.

We went through a dry spell earlier this spring but the last 90 days NOAA has us receiving 15 - 20 inches of rain with more in the forecast.

I was wondering with all the rain we have received, if this will delay some firewood deliveries.

I'll have a fire tonight. And probably tomorrow night, and the night after that, and the next night...

The next 4 nights are still in the 40's for lows. No fire.

Heat is coming this weekend with highs in the 90's next week. Been a busy week due to 1.70" rain Sunday, had some emergency gutter cleaning during it. Tuesday evening news said a small chance of storms/rain but would miss us. Ended up with .71" rain and a bunch of 1"+ hail. Luckily did a good gutter cleaning when I got off work but spent the next couple days cleaning leaves, now just need to dump the pickup this weekend. Roofer came by when in the area to check ours as he replaced it last fall. Good news was the impact resistance shingles held up with no damage, but some of the gutters look like they went through WW3. At least it's just cosmetic so won't worry about it.

We still had some ash inside so last night we had a fire, that left us with only two splits inside so we put in 20 splits of ash today. The wife wanted another fire tonight so that will happen.

We had 48.5 this morning so we had a fire in the Lopi with some ash, the basement temp went from 64 to 76.

We've had some pretty decent temps here as of late. Upper 40's to 50's and 70's during the day. Windows have been open 24/7 for over a week, that's really nice. Went up to our cabin in the UP last weekend and had low 40's and mid 60's. About as good as it gets for me. Heat wave middle of the week, then decent again next weekend.

fwiw, I finally located an old friend and they live very close to your property. I've been invited to stay a few days and very well may do that. I'm sure you know where the fish hatchery is and they are across from it. I'll try to go when you are up there too.
