OK, that's good to know. I won't drive up and yell into the speaker "I want one of those things that look like it could be called Montezuma's Revenge!"

I live and farm in cow country and I do agree, a swine farm stinks much worse. Ni chickens here so can't attest to that.

I'd think so. Someone has to stuff the bags and make the drinks, I think at least.

Local TB got busted a few weeks ago seems as though the person at the drive up window was making nasal deposits in people's food. Cop picking up his order caught him. Traffic has been real light since.:hair:

My all time favorite fast burger joint was Hot-n-Now but they folded. Best Olive Burger I ever had.

According to my nephew, some years back a TB (IIRC) employee the next county south of us was caught putting some uh...special homemade brown "gravy" in the refried beans...if it was true, I never heard what happened with that...probably under 18 YO so might be why it wasn't big in the news...or might have been a BS rumor, hope so.

    Looks like a bank.

Last time I ate at Taco Bell tacos were 3/$1 Super taco supreme, or something like that.
Last time I pulled up to the drive thru I had no idea what anything on the menu was so I drove away.

^^^ that's my problem with tb.
The same old "ok" taco for quick road food is about $1.40 now.
Fast and cheap "fast food" is no longer either.

Don't be surprised if there are no people working there.Starbucks has shops all run by robots.

Point is that industry is pushing hard to replace people with machines. It is said that one of the reasons for the lockdowns was for industry to silently replace jobs by people with robots. Then the media pushed the we can't find workers lie to do the jobs as if the workers suddenly disappeared from the face of the Earth. So they went with robotics while the homeless numbers constantly grow. The times are dreadful and this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Walmart has been talking about going to 100% self-checkout lines for the last year or so, but the company has not made that policy change yet. Time will tell!

I despise those almost as much as I despise waiting in lines at walmart. They blame the long lines on people not showing up for work....(yeah, right)

If only it could sent me a #6 combo to my office right now...that would be great!

It always makes me giggle a bit to hear people say taco bell makes then run to the bathroom.... They must have timid bowels...

Fixed it. I should have said the long lines of people waiting to check out are blamed on walmart employees not showing up for work.

Meanwhile, you'll have a buttload of employees running around the store pushing those carts doing shopping for people that call in.

People do indeed show up for work, walmart just chooses to put less people on the cash registers. And we choose to shop walmart even less.

Those DIY checkouts can be convenient when you only have a couple of things that scan (correctly). Around here, there's usually one employee for four of those registers and they're usually not utilized at a 100% rate so it's not like they've replaced employees 100%.

I hated and despised those self checkout things when they came out. Now I pretty much use then 100% unless there's a reason I can't. I can bag the groceries how I want them (without having to play the "stack the conveyor" game to get them bagged how I want them), and I am usually much faster than a cashier.

Now the "associate does your shopping for you cause you're too dam lazy to go to the store yourself" thing.....no thank you. I want to be able to pick my box/bag/can/produce etc etc and make adjustments when needed...I don't want/trust someone else to do that....
I do understand it in the circumstance of having a legit reason for not being able to go in the store (sick, disabled, etc).
