Awoke in Naples, FL. Staying a few days. Plan a stop at Kinnesaw Mountain Battlefield on the way back. Payment to my wife for her helping me with my campaign.
    Travel is such a distraction.

Gas was $5.25/gallon this AM. Bought a few bags of nothing special groceries for $105. Makes me want to hunker down and not do anything.

No doubt...hitting a dropped box of nails on the highway with that rig would put a place out of business!

My cost has gone from $2.69/gallon to $3.59/gallon for the upcoming heating season. I don't foresee any improvement in cost for the next two years. I contracted for $750 gallons.

I had posted in a now locked down thread that gasoline prices had risen .50 while we were gone......it actually had gone up .62 a gallon. In just a matter of 5 days!

Thanks, you know who! (Have to keep those couple of supporters quiet) :smoke:

Here it went up .30 since Sunday, and that jump was on Tuesday. I’m almost afraid to look when I see a gas sign.

I remember seeing something about that. I follow a few great Lakes shipwatchers on YouTube. Hope I can make it to the lakes for a visit sometime.

Rolled out the splitter and began "phase two" of the process. I ran the MM spikes into 8 pieces and came up with 30%-32% generally.

There were a couple maples with the dark soft heartwood that read 39%-40%!

That part is like a sponge.........
