I think the impulse is at 6pm on the middle hole. This first thing I would try is all the different plugs that came with the Mity Vac kit. Probably need to improvise for the impulse. That’s pretty small. I use inner tube between the muffler and the cylinder, knocking out bolt holes with a roll pin kit. And I have a pressure test hose that I pulled the schraeder valve out of and thread that into the cylinder like I was doing a compression test. Attach the mity vac to that.
Thanks. I tried the plugs that came with the kit. Seemed to fit ok but not holding any pressure at all. I think it's the exhaust that is not sealing up. Using the heat shield and the EPMD sheet. I might double up the EPDM and see if that helps. I'm going to order the spark plug adapter in the large and small size. And yeah the smallest cone did seem to fit that tiny impulse but it's not ideal. I need to put the handle back on but waiting for new fuel lines. Super unstable without the handle which doesn't help.
it's a piece of cake to cut off an old plug end and knock the center out, then weld on an air fitting. I made a set of engine lifting hooks from a pair of old plugs so I could lift rotax engines with my hoist. (they are easily lifted by hand, but figuring out placement when designing requires the engine to be hanging from something.
