Yes..what you see in my pic is the tops of two Cherry's that blew down last year, I still have the main stems in log form to cut up. One was 22in at stump and the other was 20in. I will take a pic of my logs when I get home from work today.
lol. proly won't be stacking wood in Conn. anytime soon. would love to see Conn. I hear it is very nice. Maybe someday.
Wow that is funny right there ! Me a bad influence?? If that's not the pot calling the kettle black nothing is. Enabler #1 says I am a bad influence = go figure.
This pine branch came down last fall... I think but we had a bunch of nice hardwood mother nature felled so I took care of the hardwood first. I limbed up most of it so I can use the tractor with with forks, that will make it easier bucking it up. Just after I hauled the second load out of there, the rains came.
We had some heavy rains overnight so I finished up the limbing and we had a nice fire. Today I took two loads of limbs from the downed pine branch and two more loads of dead pine over to the the fireplace, everything from yesterday and today is gone.
Looks nice Mike. How much do you have in rounds for splitting? Get any more from the way homer score?
Except for the tops, the two ash I felled earlier in the spring on the hill in the back are c/s/s. We have just over two face cord of ash from the four trees, two came from what I call up top. That gives us just over 54 face cord, once the maple and the beech get stacked, that should give us 57 or 58 face cord. Pictures 3060 & 61 are of a wind damage ash that I'll hopefully get off the hill.
Two face cord in row number 1, I haven't been keeping track on how many loads it takes but I'm thinking 3 plus for a face cord if you really load up the trailer. Thanks
This was a soft maple damaged by the wind, I finally took care of it today. Pictures 3021 thru 3023 is the damaged maple, the rest is after I bucked it up.
Mother Nature has provided some rain days that I can rest the body but when you get a certain age you need some days off....I'm at that age. After the s/s tomorrow, that will give us 55 face cord up, usually we don't have that up until late fall. After tomorrow I'll still have another 3 plus face cord that will get stacked, hopefully by the end of July. We still have a 2 face cord slot that needs filling for our shoulder season wood, once that is filled, we'll have 12 face cord of pine up.
