Forgot to post that when I got up this morning and looked out the kitchen window, there was a deer laying right close to the house. She is still there, about 15' from the window.

Good morning! 54F and sunny. Rain moving in (allegedly). Split and filled an IBC tote last night. I'll probably do some mowing tonight while it's still dry. Then I need to stage an empty tote and some racks of wood next to the splitter to fill a customer order. I'll probably bring a tote of bundle wood into the barn and rebuild my inventory. That should be enough for today. Have a God day!

Well my light yard work ended up running a saw for about 30mins. It felt good. Then stacked what I cut. I had some "too long " splits. As well as a few ash logs.

I then moved on to getting out my Lil Giant ladder to re-hang a flag. Same one as in my avatar. It had loosened up in some recent windstorm.

I then scratched/turned over a couple of compost bins.

I was satisfied with the effort.

Now, lunch with a friend in a couple of hours.

It was warmer last night. Cloud cover.

It is a shame on that accident. We can't find any other information on it. Nothing on the news.

Good morning everyone! Mike, I'm happy to see you getting stuff done in the yard!
Yesterday I texted the lady I've gotten rabbit poop from in past years, but she has moved and is out of the rabbit business. So, I answered a craigslist ad for composted horse manure. It turned out to be really nice stuff. I got enough to fill some big planters for my son, and also refill my compost pile. I learned my lesson about adding horse manure to the garden, too many weed seeds. Even though this stuff is well composted, it will be for containers only. IMG_20220524_44797.jpg

    Aged:yes:

Composted = heated enough to kill seeds.

I'm so tempted to stop at the neighbor's farm and get cow manure but I would need/want to compost it before use.

Wow. I just found this sad news. This would be at Chesaning on the east side where M-57 curves back to the east.

Avoid State road it is closed at curve on 57 truck went through house.

My husband drove past. It's a small ranch house by where 57 "Y's" off to State. A truck literally drove through the house almost cutting it completely in half. I pray no one got seriously hurt but from what my husband described, it doesn't look good at all

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY. Another day of 7AM-7PM, another day of wearing a mask. Should be done with that after tomorrow. Feeling much better, just a cough sometimes. Worked about 30 minutes on the woodyard last night, before a thunderboomer shut us down. Got some much needed rain.

Maybe we can get more done tonight

Good morning! 62F with rain off and on. We need a little. I did some preemptive mowing last night so hopefully the rest of the lawn can wait until Friday when it dries off. I did some organizing and staging in the processing center in preparation for the long weekend. With the rain, I'll prbably make bundles in the barn for inventory, build a new rack for rounds and prep some IBC totes. Have a God day!

Started raining last night and it looks to continue throughout the day. Friday and Saturday are looking like nice days. Hope to get out and get some shoulder wood split.
