Found these on the curb while in town with a free sign. 0515221526_Film2-1.jpg
The one has some rust on the weld, ill probably exchange it, the other one I'll keep. Nothing beats free money.

Cut the lawn for the first time today. Could've waited another day or two but...... No fish caught yet.

And those little black gnats are out! Next two weeks will be miserable now.

Got that same faucet on basically the same sink. It’ll last forever.

Since it was supposed to stay cool enough for me to use the window exhaust fans, early yesterday morning I continued on my project of redoing the doors/casings on the main floor.

Door on right shows the original stain color. Door on left is the new color that more closely matches what I've done in the living room.

    door color comparison.jpg

I started the 3rd door yesterday morning and will do the other side after I'm done with my interwebz cruising this morning.

Stayed cooler here yesterday until late after noon so performed the first grass cutting of the season. I meant to start out using the mower with the EZ bar, but gassed up the push mower by mistake so started with that. 2 hours later I had the neighbor's yard and half of mine done. Came in for a hydration session, my sister called, so talked to her for a couple of minutes, then went back out and finished up my yard - this time using the easy mower.

I'm on vacation this week (gotta take time before I lose it), but I have a feeling I will be "called in" today or tomorrow for a while. I don't really mind as we are down a person, my boss is covering for her boss (who left a couple of weeks ago), and a few things have hit the fan. After tomorrow, they are on their own as I will not have my work electronics with me.

Well that's good. Don't like replacing stuff.

Have to replace my vehicle by sometime next year. My car rolled 200,000 kilometers yesterday. 40,000 left in her if nothing breaks before then.

I want my next car to be a Toyota.

We have had three of them. Corolla, Camry and Rav4. Liked everyone one of them.

Yesterday we picked 7 ticks off our pooch. Luckily the stuff we give him for that prevented any bites. One was crawling on my leg too. Seems they have flourished. :(

Over the years we have owned 16 Toyotas. You really can't beat the reliability of them.

What did you use on that? Did you have to strip the wood first? I know from working with those old orange shellac coated doors/trim, you almost have to strip it off (unless painting) and that's not easy...and even then the grain is already sealed, so stain doesn't take well at all...

Weather is 10/10 here today. Sunny, breezy, 75.

Might have to light up the fire pit this evening.

I had the day off today for some doctor stuff and once that was done I decided to fool around at the wood pile for a bit. I had to test out the 394 after replacing the fuel line anyways. Supposed to get some wicked storms this evening too so I checked on the genny and gas for the saws.

How was the rav4 on gas? I know some of those size rigs, depending on model, are almost as good as a car, others you may as well buy a truck. I like rav4s, corollas (especially 14 and newer), even yaris are nice. Only thing is they do hold their value, but hopefully I can find a good deal.

Hondas have a good name too, but I don't like them as much. That's cosmetics, but hey, you want to like what you're driving. Toyota has made my favorite looking smaller cars lately.

The 2006-11 Hyundai accent hatchback, what I'm driving now, was probably my favorite small car from that time period, even the elantra from about that age I liked. Not as fussy on the generations that followed. The brand new ones out now aren't bad. I really like my little car, but she's starting to show her age now.
