The new neighbor knocked down a little mulberry tree yesterday… and just piled up in his back yard. I asked if I could have it.. Well I ran out time yesterday… so it rained this morning, made it more interesting. But I got what I wanted…the tractor makes work a lot easier…
Mulberry is good burning wood! Dries quick too. I use the forks all the time too, my most used implement for sure. A grapple sure would be nice some day huh? Brad
That’s got to be the straightest mulberry I’ve ever seen. Around here they grow twisted and gnarled, with branches forking off every which way. Yours looks like it’ll be fun to process
Thanks! ... Thats no kidding... I call it the little caboose... cause "I think I can" mentality... Its done so much that would have been probably impossible without... Not bad for a 2008 27hp tractor... The only only two regrets about it was diesel and 4wd... but I get by...
Probably due to the location of its growth and fairly young in nature. But I'll probably stack away for smoking wood...
One day I'll have a grapple.. But this tractor doesn't have the ability really, without much underdoings. Possible though... but the forks stay on most of the time. A simple upgrade that wasn't designed into it, but a little welding and thought process made it doable...
Nice grab. Never burned mulberry here. Its neat to have something like that pop up within easy reach.
That is a nice grab. Tractors sure make it nice. I've been amazed at what the ' Bota does. Definitely couldn't do some things if it wasn't 4x4.
Like a good wood hoarding neighbor..."can i have that tree"? Idve been all over that too. RARE scrounge around here and seldom nice and straight like Eric stated.
Nice score!! Does mulberry by you pop like a machine gun when you open the fire door like it does here?
