Red dress girl posing in her daisy dukes would really start something. I’m sure that picture has been taken.

65 in a 25 when I was in my early 20's... 3 patrol cars and one of them asked me if I knew how fast I was going, I said no. He said you were doing 65 because you slowed down to run the last 2 red lights! :D

Now I am old, drive slow and don't drink then drive!

I had a 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner with a 440 wedge motor. The speedometer went to 150mph. I pegged it just once in a 55mph road, the Garden State Parkway. Don't know exactly how fast I was going but after with went past 150mph I slowed down. Never got caught!:zip: Boy I miss that car!!! :( Back tires were getting expensive though, I had G50's on the back as I remember.

It wasn't for speed, but testosterone that an exhibition driving was granted. Carload of girls pulled up at a stoplight and was yelling spin them. Looked left, right and at the green light dumped the clutch and smoked them. Got to the next light a block up, they were giggling do it again. Looked left, looked right, green, really mashed the gas and dumped the clutch, back end is sliding out and smoke all over. Then came the lights. Should really have looked in the rear view mirror :headbang:. That cop had a front row seat to teen boy stupidity. He said he only issued one exhibition ticket instead of 2 because he saw the girls enticing the situation but still needed to enforce things. Looking back yes we deserved it and he was nice enough to only site 1 of 2 violations. :handshake:

Similar story...my buddy and I went to a dealership to kick tires on a Mercury Capri 5.0L (think Mustang but with a bubble rear window)...salesman flips us the keys :bug:(no way he didn't know we were teenagers) so we head downtown with it, where everyone went "cruising" on Friday and Saturday nights...we were at a light right in the tall building part of town and I said dump the clutch...he didn't want to but after some coaxing and both of us looking around for cops, he does it...not being used to the clutch the first one was kinda "meh"...so he does it again at the next light, much better, was even able to grab 2nd gear and keep 'er broke loose...then we hear the "woop woop" of a cop car...but still didn't see him...turns out he was 2-3 cars back and made sure he got a good view of the second attempt since the first one caught him off guard and he didn't have the best view...second one was much more impressive anyways, he even said so when my buddy tried to claim his foot slipped off the clutch, and that he was just trying not to stall it in traffic...didn't work...ticket time! Then we were crapping bricks on the way back because the cop surely called the dealership and told them what happened...thought they would read us the riot act...get back and just return the keys and bail (salesman was busy with someone else) we said we'll call ya...yeah right
So then on the way home he realizes he is really screwed, because in Ohio a minor has to go to court for any ticket, with a parent! His dad was cool about it (he was an old hot rodder from way back) but his mom flipped her wig...she made me come along and tried to get the judge to switch the ticket to me since I egged him on...didn't work obviously, so then she tried to make me pay for half the ticket...he (her son) told her he'd pay for it and then we'd work something out (which I was actually considering since I felt bad about it) but then afterward he since don't worry about it, I was the one driving, you didn't hold a gun to my head, or even make me do something that I didn't already wanna do. Wasn't the last time either one of us burnt some rubber in that town, but we sure scoped things out better after that!

We had a county cop that if he pulled you over and read you the riot act, you didn't get a ticket. One day an Indiana State trooper pulled me over. Read me the riot act right out of the riot act manual if you know what I mean. Then he asks for my license. I ask, "why", he says, "your getting a ticket". I thought if you took the riot act you didn't get a ticket. Well, I was mad, he handed me my ticket and told me I could go. I did, threw rocks all over that squad car, not a good thing when you see a trooper running to get back to his car! About two miles further he pulls me over again, walks up to my window and tells me, "shut 'er off, we're going to be here a while!". Yep, $290 some dollars later (that was in 1980). Was driving my '72 Javelin AMX that I had put a 350 chevy and automatic trans in.
