    I’ve been burning a lot of ash for the last week or two. It’s well known that ash leaves a lot of…. ASH. I stirred it up this evening and noticed a few of these clinkers. I’ve had them before with sugar maple too. For me it’s hard to pinpoint which species actually cause them the most because most of the time I’m running mixed stove loads.

    I posted about clinkers in my stove, I initially called them cinders. I cleaned some off with water and took close up pics of some. Rather than try to explain more, I'll just post a link to see the pics. It was interesting.
