    Everybody be quiet!
Through some twist on schedules, I got elected to baby sit the granddaughter today who turns 1 on Saturday.
Somebody was tired but refusing to nap.

It took 30 minutes but she’s out.
Let’s just say that for that 30 minutes Her Majesty was displeased with the staffing changes…
I had forgotten just how loud one of the little things can be!

The city doesn’t like my trailers parked where I keep them so now I’ve got that idiocy to deal with. Get off my property…. There’s no ordinance or law saying anything about trailers…. They said I can be fined if I don’t move them as they have sat there over 30 days unmoved. I told them I just used the trailers last weekend and that I use them almost every weekend for something or another and they scoffed at me. We need to move!

Send them pictures each week of the trailers in use. Or better yet, move them each day and send pictures daily (hopefully there is a tree/rock/building close that positioning can be referenced). Make them tired of hearing from you so they let it go. Or put up a chit-azz "parking structure" with a couple of posts and some of the oldest crudiest, rustiest used sheet metal you can find (bonus if some have remains of old paint and none of the colors match). If the structure is for "parking" they can't say squat about moving them.

And hey, if there is nothing in the ordinances you can tell them they are #1, by sign language, and doubled up so they know they are truly at the top of the heap.

I told the gentlemen from the city I would call the police if he didn’t vacate my property ASAP. There’s no ordinance anywhere stating 30 days for a trailer. That only applies to a vehicle that is unplated.

He did not leave until I threatened to call the police. The City is a joke where I live….

I agree. The fools just want power with no concern for others.

Sorry you have to deal with those sort of people that think they have unchecked authority.

Maybe one of your neighbors complained and they have to follow up by trying to flex their muscles???

Sorry I missed your birthday. Happy Belated B day. Seems like a lot of stuff gets by me these days. Good thing I keep a calendar and have Alexa to remind me.

Raining and chilly today at 55*. Supposed to be sunny and 89* on Tuesday.

Started on the shop lean-to yesterday and already found some issues....the sill plate is nearly gone on the east wall of the shop due to moisture and termites. The studs all look good though. This wasn't a surprise....the grade level was pretty high compared to the slab.

Not sure what I'm going to do yet, but I need to so something. Probably going to build a temporary wall of some sort and replace it.

Truth, Colorado building inspectors have been out of control since we built in 1998. WWW did a roof in the mountains just south of here (yes, Larimer county Colo) and after 3 months they gave him one day notice of inspection). He threw his back out so hobbling around and answered NO since he had a doc appt today, but made it anyway since they did not respond. And no one showed up of course. No response of no after waiting for 3 months or an offer to resched. Jerks.
