Got it ordered and shipped from distribution center which apparently they won’t do, until the computer says there’s none in your local store. Which for my experience takes about 2 1/2 hours on hold:headbang:

I have run in to similar scenarios. I'll look." on line for an item and when I get to the store (about 100 miles one way) ....... "Nope, we don't have any."

    It's happened more than once.

I hope Canadian border VT and brenndatomu get things taken care of.

Cool and raining today. Grass is growing something fierce. Mowed on Friday and it needs it again already.

Just called estimated delivery Thursday. At these gas prices, I can wait on hold for a half an hour to make sure somebody can actually lay their hands on it in the store.

Yes yooperdave it was me, Halloween until the day before Thanksgiving without power. What do you know that has an impact on the water pump.

I have water I just have to shut the main off otherwise it leaks in the basement. About 5 gallons an hour which is too much in my basement.

Not too worried about the septic as I had to rebuild that in 16 because some this guy decided to put a 20 foot above ground pool on his D box. 6 years before it stopped working..

I have bad luck and bought the house as a foreclosure that hadn’t been maintained for a while..
If I didn’t have chit luck…. I would have none at all.:(

The well pump died a year ago on my 50th birthday party:doh:
I actually laugh at this; I have a nice home, a beautiful wife and an intelligent teenager..
    Life’s good

edit Don’t ask my beautiful wife about finished/unfinished projects as Before I get one finished another one goes bad

What is your best guess what will be next?

During Covid we've had a smaller second fridge go, replaced with a bigger one for the same price the smaller one cost, new washer and a new propane stove.

Once you get this behind you I wish you good luck from here on. Owning a home can be challenging at times. We were in ours for 11 months when it got hit by a tornado. 33 years later and we are still here. Looking back everything worked out and I’m sure it will for you and your wife.

It seems to be getting worse on the east coast. $5.20 a gallon for premium and I checked the price of home heating oil and it is now $6.50 a gallon. Luckily I burn wood and have half a tank of oil to get us through with hot water for a while.

I really should start a thread.. when life happens :headbang:
mostly throw pics of :bug:in this thread.. if I only had one house it would be easier   .. on bright side good time to sell extra houses..

when 85 mph winds caught electric panel on fire it was a blessing in disguise. I was the beneficiary of FHC generosity; which still floors me.. met a good friend Well Seasoned and getting power back day before thanksgiving with 6 extra family members house made for a special memory!

HHO topped $6 here today. Diesel is $6.35, my pickup will be $230 to fill it. Won’t be long now before the crash at these prices. You realize EVERYTHING comes by truck and the owner of said truck doesn’t absorb those prices..

Yup yup.. plus food will double easy as Ukraine is not planting wheat which supplies Europe. Fertilizer here has tripled since last year and those farmers tractors don’t run without diesel

Home from a long day of election work. Sadly, I did not succeed in my primary bid. I am happy to report Mrs. Sourwood won her race by a handful of votes- her knocking on doors and getting people to meet her made the difference.
My situation frees me to focus the next months on transition to retirement. The next Sheriff who won by a large margin will be great, for the community and my employees. They are breathing a sigh of relief after the possible fallout of other candidates.

Sorry about the primary loss for you, but congrats to Mrs. Sourwood
