    RANT ALERT
Whole house water filter, I crack the housing, because It had not been done since before I went in for surgery. This translates to water in the basement. Got the water shut off and cleaned up the mess. Then sent wife down to the Home Depot, to buy a replacement to just throw in. And the drama began!:picard:

Although yes I checked, their computer said they had four in stock. In fact there are NOT any in stock. So she bought two that were in stock to see if we could make it work. Of course there’s not enough room for the double size water systems.

So then you call Home Depot online and see if you can just have one shipped to the house. That’s not possible because they have them in stores. So then you spent another two hours on hold and talk to the guy at Home Depot and once he verifies that they’re not in the store he takes them off the computer list. You then call the store that’s not two hours round-trip but four hours round-trip. Anyway in another two hours on phone to verify if they actually can lay their hands on it before you take the drive .

    Of course that’s a no!:heidi:
So your last option is order it online, which they Hone depot online will now do because it’s not available in the stores, pay for expedited shipping which won’t be here till Thursday. Seems like a crazy amount of work for $32 item!

I just priced my lumber package for the shop lean-to project. I thought prices had come back down but I guess not. It's double the number I had in my head...and that number was double what I thought it "should" be. Oh well, it's only money.

I ordered a desulfating battery charger on ebay last week...it didn't ship, it didn't ship...so I emailed the seller to ask what the holdup was blah blah blah excuses, and oh by the way, we shipped it. So sure enough there is the tracking number...but showed shipped from OH, not AZ like was supposed to be, oh well, they must have drop shipped it.
I get home the next day and it shows "delivered" except I can't find it anywhere. I look up tracking and it said it was delivered to "the dock"...hmmm...I don't have a dock.
I applied for a refund through ebay through the "I didn't receive my item" then they said "we show it delivered"...I said nope, not here...they said check with your neighbors...oh boy, here we go.
So I called UPS to have them look up the tracking number for more details...they were very helpful...told me the address they delivered it to, not mine, not even close...said it was signed for by "Shillen"...not me...and the kicker was that it was not addressed to me...so basically ebay or the seller gave me the wrong tracking number!
The problem now is that I have to get them to understand that they gave me the wrong number, that I really did not receive it, and then they said I still have to wait 7 days to see if it shows up! I ordered it from the place I did because it looked like they would ship the fastest, and they had high satisfaction ratings! :hair:

I've had that same problem with home Depot, says they're in stock but they're not and it's tricky word play to get you to buy the item from them
