Two more chestnut oaks laid down today

    Still trying to salvage some of my dead standing chestnut oaks for lumber and/or firewood. These two were decently straight and not too far gone. Should get some nice lumber logs and a plenty of firewood from the tops. MMWS461 w/ 32" Tsumura and 36" Stihl bars for reference.

    Great day for saw work! I have 2 or 3 more big one's to drop at my honey hole. I tell ya, after the first couple rains the stacks make the whole property smell fantastic.

    I scored a bunch of Chestnut Oak last year (3 year storm damage). Have never burned it but its in the White Oak family so it should be good. It will heat my house this coming winter.
