So I had one of the Red Dot Minis ( 3.7”x 24)
tonight while Mama & our daughter went to the ice cream shop, someone had to stay home while the little ones were sleeping so it may as well of been me.

This little thing burned great, razor shape burn, didn’t get hot until it got down to about 3/4” or less, the ash stayed on to about 3/4” before it fell off. It had some nuttiness to it also slightly creamy. It burned about 25 minutes.

I am looking forward to trying a Robusto now.

Set up the new trampoline for the kids this morning. Just threw a big old top round roast on the smoker figured I got time for this. 05ACF6D7-B29A-4BCC-8CE4-D46DEF588E64.jpeg

Nice, I love roast with taters, carrots & onions. I usually just cook them in a dutch oven.

I've only tried a few… Even the real Cubans up in Canada. The one Cohiba that I get periodically is the Cohiba Black and the Cohiba Nicaragua …. But the Nicaragua is for a long sit and special occasion.

They say those Puro Dominicans really pack a punch. I will try the Black after dinner.

I will have to try a Nicaraguan on some calm evening, it will doubtfully be tonight unless the wind dies down.

I couldn’t tell much difference between the Blue & Black but I had the Black one while out mushroom hunting with my son-in-law. It was much more enjoyable watching him trying to avoid the gooseberry & raspberry bushes without getting pricked.

My oldest daughter left this morning about 9:30 with her two minions ( ages 4 & 2 ) then about noon the middle daughter, husband & their 2 minions ( twins age 2 ) showed up for the afternoon.

As mentioned I went mushroom hunting with my son-in-law this afternoon. When we got home my sister-in-law was there with her two children (16 & 22). Everybody cleared out around 5:30. Boy I sure like peace & quiet.

Did I mention both of our daughters are expecting again, due in Oct. & Nov.
Hopefully they produce some boys this round.

Anyway I am having a Crusader this evening while listening to some extra inning baseball just relaxing enjoying the view.

6 pound angus top round dry rubbed and slow smoked/ cooked on applewood to around 125-130. Let rest and thin sliced with au jus for sandwiches. I did Dutch oven some garli Parmesan potato wedges to go with it using the hot coals.

By the way…. That CAO was a pretty good smoke. Real mellow but not lacking flavor. Had a bit of tunneling on the burn.

This cigar had good flavor but burned uneven & seemed to want to tunnel. Hopefully the others burn a bit better. It lasted a bit over an hour.

:sherlock:... Not sure what you mean. Like roll them around in your fingers? I'll roll them around top to bottom if that what your talking about. Sometimes, you'll get side drifters and uneven burners, not will be perfect. A quick relight and you'll be on your way.

I should of been more clear, rotate them in your humidor. As in, move the ones on top to the bottom vice versa.

I usually roll/rotate them while smoking also most times this seems to help out uneven burns but not always.

That looks like it should get you by for a few days.

Do you like those travel humidors ? I have one but it’s always high on humidity even with the knob on the front taken out.

What are you using for a humidifier? Boveda?

Boveda in one and nothing in the other. For the small time it won’t really affect them.
