Milling portable today. Cut a bunch of big 16’ cedar. Cut a bunch of 8/4 of which the widest was 13 3/8”. The property owners mini excavator really kept things moving.

The 8/4 is for raised garden beds. And the 6x6's are to spruce up the deer fence. There were 12 deer in the field when I drove in at 8.

Headed back today to cut a nice sized walnut and a 24" wormy maple log. And either some more cedar or cherry or there is a decent size persimmon log.

He has been clearing for a pond and there are stacks of logs all over.

sounds like a hoarders/millers paradise. Post more pics of your milling. I enjoy them a lot.

Well get a eye full of this.

Wormy and curly. Log was 13’ and had curl throughout. Boards are 11” wide. It was a good size log but had a fair bit of sweep.

Ha! I know the property owner had a big smile on his face and his wife was lobbying for a kitchen table made out of the maple.

That's some beautiful boards. Especially that maple.
We had some oak that was curly lime that, didn't know it until bucked to 18" and split... 1109212042.jpg 0928202112.jpg 0923201639.jpg
