Just a heads up for progress hybrid users that like to soak their cats in tHe old fashioned way. Finding a stainless container that isn’t overly large, wasteful of fluid, can be daunting. Looks like it might work but wouldn't you need to flip it because the whole cat would not be in the water?
Without a ruler handy the PH cat is roughly 2 1/2” x 2 1/2” x 16”. Once tried to fashion one out of those disposable lasagna trays by bending it all up. First one leaked at a crease. Second one the gas stoves burned through before reaching a boil. Bathing cats can be a messy job
Fitting the ideal steel combustor into a pan of boiling vinegar-water was a challenge. Used a disposable turkey heavy aluminum roaster pan with the edge flanges bent up to make the acid deep enough to indundate the cat. Boiled the solution in a big SS pot then into this aluminum pan. But boy did this process ever bring the combustor back alive!
Ive seen the recommendation has changed. Tried it both ways. Just pouring the hot liquids through the cat and the original immersion bath. I liked the full immersion better. Another worry for me is the metal the pans are made of. Now that you mention it I suppose my disposable lasagna pan wasnt stainless either. I’m just not sure which metals are compatible and which aren’t. I know the stainless is good. Either way the immersion in the whatever metal it is lasagna pan worked real good
This is not what I expected while I had a cat laying on me, not at all. So, boiling the water/vinegar helps? Going to have to try that, so thanks.
