Now wait just a minute. They use a horse and buggy because of non-belief of using an engine in a vehicle? But what's on the transom of that boat??

I've often wondered that, I've seen Amish houses with generators also. And of course their sawmills have motors.

Triva question: can you identify the American film actress below? I will give you a hint, everyone on this board has seen her most famous movie when we were very young. Just follow the yellow brick road!
    Answer is under her picture.

Silent film actress Billie Burke in 1911, later known for her role as 'Glinda the Good Witch of the North' in The Wizard of Oz in 1939 at age 54.

With your clue, i guessed Glinda the good witch. :dex:

Many years ago we hung out at a local pizza pub and the bar tender/owner would watch "the wizard of oz" every year. We'd laugh because she could recite every word of the movie.
    Fun memories! Thanks for sharing!

I'll never forget my first visit to Indiana. Going through Amish country I saw more than on of them out picking corn. The picker was pulled by horses but they had mounted a motor on the picker. Sure looked and seemed odd.
