Yeah it was dead 8-10 years before falling. Still some good rock solid White Oak rounds. First time splitting pine and it was holding water like a sponge. Termites did a good job separating the bark. It fell in a storm last spring.
my reaction too. Maybe if youre nice he'll invite you over to have at them. I think they are oak too Jason...stir the pot!
Most of the cc sticker survived. I don’t think mine has that raised piece of plastic near the oil cap. Nice saw. I like mine a lot. Easy starting saw after I got the bugs sorted out. Good throttle response and power. Is it a 2011? If first 2 #’s are year? Did they still make them in 2011?
The 372XP was done by 2011 with only the 372XP X-Torque left. The 272XP was finished before Y2K IIRC. At least here in the US. By that tag, that saw was built in 1991, week 18, #338 off the line that week. That would make it a pretty early example. Don't know if they ran over the cylinders at the factory or if that's an aftermarket mod. Possibly dealer installed. I like those saws, raw, powerful, no BS.
