Most of y'all are colder than I am here. Currently 31°F ambient temperature.
    Light breeze
4 sticks of fkws and 1, 4" round of fkbs in the stove . Closed down pretty tight.
This evening was the first time our wood stove was actually out cold since at least October 2021. I have been impatient and got it kicked up faster with some help from WD-40 and a Bic , but there were still coals and the stove was still putting off heat. Tonight it was cold.
But , it got up to 48°F at the house today . Supposed to be much cooler tomorrow

36 It looks like I’m going to have to move wood into the house 1 more time to cover some cool nights.

We got the ice overnight; schools and stuff closed throughout the area. No snow and The winds did not start overnight.....just a couple stray cgusts and that was it.

This typically happens in the spring. But soon we'll be far ahead of you on the temperature.

Hopefully the big snow predicted will pass us. So far, so good. Small accumulation of 2" or snow on top of the ice that pretty much melted yesterday.

    Winds have begun.
