Can't like that chit, I did plow the driveway today since the sun is so strong and the warmer temps coming at us with rain.

It would be a nice day if it wasn't for the wind, hopefully it calms down this week so I can get some ash on the ground.

Since tomorrow is April 1, I'll head back in and check this side that two wind events gave us some nice beech and maple last December. Today with the warmer temps and the rain that came in later, we lost most of the snow and ice which will make running the hills easier.

We'll see if the beech in pictures 2642 & 2643 are down, if they're not I'm sure there will be more work for me.

I spent more time throwing branches from the trails than I did cutting, just a small load of maple came out today.

The two beech in my original post are still up.

It would not be so bad if we didn't get all the wind we've been getting this year.

Sure does seem like more wind to us, too. I attributed it to the new place.

Don't think the new place has much to do with it unless you get more open in the prevailing winds.

Maybe Mother Nature has a cold and is breathing hard.

I started getting more pine up, we have six face cord up and added to this stack that holds another two face cord.

Our shoulder season stacking area holds 12 face cord, I'm hoping this second area is full by the end of May.

Finished up for the season, splitter is washed, just splitter trash to clean up.

Apple trees are pruned, just need to pick up brush, the golf course re-opens Friday.

I'll finish the far end of this pine stack tomorrow, that will give us eight face cord up when it's done with room for just under four face left.

It is kind of hard to measure splitter trash by the cord, but the other day when the ground was froze and I could use the loader, I took 7 half yard buckets out, have a good 1-2 cubic yards left. 4 way wedges do make more trash, but can't be near what a box wedge would.

I walk the course and we beat feet when we play. Generally under 3.5 hours and that is aprox 6.5 miles of walking. No practice swings, whatever is going to happen will, just make it happen quicker.

How many cords did you end up splitting and stacking?

Didn't put a tape to it, a little short this year of normal. I am guessing 24.
