g60gti that stuff sounds good! Spicy, but good. I'll have to look for it at the Asian market next time. There's one about 40 mins from me that has a whole isle of sauces.

I don’t think so but that’s me. I like things pretty spicy, not burn your face off spicy but getting close to that. The homemade stuff I did was hotter than the store bought. I used a lot of peppers and more Szechuan peppercorns(which have a strange but addictive numbing effect)than the recipe calls for.
I like some heat, but i like to be able to taste my food and enjoy it and not have my mouth burnt out. I think I have gotten more sensitive to heat, especially after Covid. During that, I lost all taste, but could detect salt sometimes (or what seemed to portray as salt) and spice heat seemed magnified. Might be because I wasn't getting any flavor... I will look for the store version if we get to Wegmans sometime.
Well, I cheated today. Made the Boomerang in the toaster oven cause it’s raining and I caught a nasty cold and didn't want to start the grill or the smoker. My wife didn't want to mess up the oven, so into the toaster oven it went. Actually came out tender. There’s a first time for everything.
Stocked up with a ribeye loin the other day. Set one steak aside and made a cheesesteak last night. Man was that good! Big difference between shaved ribeye and the sandwich steaks a lot of places use.
NortheastAl, that tri tip in the toaster looks really good actually. The crusty parts are my favorite. I got one in the freezer still I think.
Nothing like using shaved ribeye instead of those processed steak slices. Haven’t had one in a while, but they are great.
Got up at 4 to throw a butt on for tonight's dinner. Should've trimmed it last night or at least had my coffee before using a knife . Slipped and cut my knuckle down to the bone. It looked like a murder scene by the time I got it bandaged up. Needless to say, the butt is finally on the smoker. .
